Zinc is a trace mineral. And there’s more than one type of zinc preparation. The zinc acetate in this formula releases 100 percent of its zinc as ionic zinc (positively charged zinc ions). Our Enhanced Zinc Lozenges are peppermint-flavored and packed with zinc acetate. They have no other ingredients that could discourage the delivery of these immune-supportive, positively charged zinc ions, making this a convenient immune-support supplement.
How much zinc acetate is right for me?
One vegetarian lozenge of Enhanced Zinc Lozenges provides 18.75 mg of zinc acetate. Please note that these special lozenges are not meant for daily use: Only a few are required for seasonal immune response support. So keep a bottle close by for immediate access!
Suggested Use: Dissolve in mouth or chew one (1) lozenge daily, or as recommended by a healthcare practitioner.
While not providing medical advice, HealthWay notes that in clinical trials participants used 1 lozenge every 2-4 waking hours. It's important to note that clinicians do not consider this dose appropriate for long term use and is limited to no more than two weeks or less. Lastly, we note that in said clinical trials, side effects such as mild nausea and impact to taste buds were observed in some participants.

Within the Contiguous 48 States: Standard shipping is just $6.99 per order and FREE for orders over $50. Standard shipments may be delivered by either UPS or USPS and we cannot determine which of the two will ultimately deliver the package. Occasionally, UPS will deliver the package to the local post office and the post office will then deliver it to your door. Transit time is typically 2-5 business days. You will be provided with a tracking number via email as soon as your order is shipped.
You may choose to upgrade your shipping to Express 2-Day delivery once you are ready to check out. Depending on the time of day the order was placed, your order will arrive in 2-3 business days. All transit times are listed in business days. Please note our standard Express 2-day shipping charge may not be adequate for large orders or orders to certain destinations. We will reach out to alert you about potential additional shipping costs, and will not charge your payment method until we resolve any confusion. The additional shipping charges for upgraded air shipments will be calculated based on the weight of the products you purchase and the destination. Please note that if you live in Hawaii, Alaska or a U.S. Territory you must select "USPS Priority Mail" as your delivery option.
Hawaii, Alaska, and US Territories: If you live in Alaska, Hawaii, or a U.S. territory, your order will be sent via USPS Priority Mail. USPS Priority Mail usually arrives within 2-4 days, however, it is not guaranteed and it cannot be tracked until it is delivered. While we do our best to accommodate our customers in these areas, we cannot offer our standard $6.99 flat-rate for these orders. Orders greater than $50 will qualify for free standard USPS shipping and orders less $50 will be charged a $12 flat rate.
P.O. Boxes: If your delivery address is a United States P.O. Box, your order will be sent via USPS. Please note that because UPS cannot deliver to P.O. boxes, orders not qualifying for standard shipping rates may be more expensive. Having your order sent to a place that accepts both UPS and US Postal Service is recommended if you wish to keep your shipping costs low.
