All of our sunscreen products utilize nano-free zinc oxide rather than chemical UV absorbers, which are known endocrine disruptors, and wreak havoc on the fragile environments of lakes, rivers and oceans! Our formulas are all vegan & free from cruelty, benzene, parabens, SLS, silicone, phthalates, synthetic fragrance & dyes.

Vitamin C (Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate) – One of the most vital ingredients in any effective skin care regimen, vitamin C is a powerful antioxidant and can help reduce the appearance of wrinkles & discoloration, while fighting aging free radicals from UV exposure.

Shea Butter – Used in Africa for centuries for its moisturizing & soothing properties, shea butter is a rich source of the powerful antioxidants vitamins A & E, crucial fatty acids, and cinnamic acid.

Pomegranate Seed Oil – Potent antioxidant that is an excellent source of ellagic acid.

Resveratrol – Super potent antioxidant with powerful anti-aging properties. Helps fight off aging free radicals from UV exposure.

Squalane (vegan) – Highly effective emollient and antioxidant that hydrates & soothes the skin.

Hyaluronic Acid (sodium hyaluronate) – A naturally occurring substance in the body that begins to deplete as we age. Applied topically hyaluronic acid hydrates & helps increase the plumped-up look of the skin.

Directions: Please shake well. Apply liberally and evenly 15 minutes before sun exposure. Reapply:

–After 80 minutes of sweating or swimming
–Immediately after towel drying
–At least every two hours

What is non-nano zinc oxide?
Zinc oxide is a mineral and the active ingredient in many mineral sunscreens. It sits on top of your skin (rather than soaking in, like chemical sunscreens do) and scatters, absorbs, and reflects the sun’s rays to protect you. Non-nano essentially means that the particles are too large to pass through the skin. The concern with super-small nanoparticles is that they can find their way into your body by penetrating your skin and getting into your bloodstream. And while a nanoparticle will enter your bloodstream, a non-nano particle won’t.

Does this product contain oxybenzone?
Our sunscreens are completely free of chemical-blocking agents, parabens, sulfates, silicone, and PEGs!

Is this product reef-safe?
Yes! Our full sunscreen line is reef-safe, vegan, and cruelty-free!

How do I know which shade is right for me?
The Sheer Tint Sun Serums are much more sheer than a foundation. The pigment load is low to allow it to blend flawlessly into a variety of skin tones. If you would like to send a photo of yourself to our customer service (info@madhippie.com) we'd be happy to help you find your perfect shade!

What step should this be applied in my skincare routine?
All of our sunscreens are physical-blocking sunscreens meaning that they should be the last step in a morning skincare routine.

99% of orders placed before 2PM Pacific Standard Time ship the same business day. All remaining orders ship the following day. Please note, USPS and UPS may take 24-48hrs to update shipment tracking, but rest assured we will do our part to get your order on it's way to you as quick as possible. You will receive an email from us if there is an unforeseen delay that may cause your order to arrive later than expected. Please note that all transit times are listed in business days. Within the Contiguous 48 States: Standard shipping is just $6.99 per order and FREE for orders over $50. Standard shipments may be delivered by either UPS or USPS and we cannot determine which of the two will ultimately deliver the package. Occasionally, UPS will deliver the package to the local post office and the post office will then deliver it to your door. Transit time is typically 2-5 business days. You will be provided with a tracking number via email as soon as your order is shipped.

You may choose to upgrade your shipping to Express 2-Day delivery once you are ready to check out. Depending on the time of day the order was placed, your order will arrive in 2-3 business days. All transit times are listed in business days. Please note our standard Express 2-day shipping charge may not be adequate for large orders or orders to certain destinations. We will reach out to alert you about potential additional shipping costs, and will not charge your payment method until we resolve any confusion. The additional shipping charges for upgraded air shipments will be calculated based on the weight of the products you purchase and the destination. Please note that if you live in Hawaii, Alaska or a U.S. Territory you must select "USPS Priority Mail" as your delivery option.

Hawaii, Alaska, and US Territories: If you live in Alaska, Hawaii, or a U.S. territory, your order will be sent via USPS Priority Mail. USPS Priority Mail usually arrives within 2-4 days, however, it is not guaranteed and it cannot be tracked until it is delivered. While we do our best to accommodate our customers in these areas, we cannot offer our standard $6.99 flat-rate for these orders. Orders greater than $50 will qualify for free standard USPS shipping and orders less $50 will be charged a $12 flat rate.

P.O. Boxes: If your delivery address is a United States P.O. Box, your order will be sent via USPS. Please note that because UPS cannot deliver to P.O. boxes, orders not qualifying for standard shipping rates may be more expensive. Having your order sent to a place that accepts both UPS and US Postal Service is recommended if you wish to keep your shipping costs low.
